ercol’s 204 is the successor to the classic 203 Easy Chair. Transitioning in the early 1980’s, some say the superior of the two chairs, in comfort, due to the seat’s marginal increase in height and reduction in length. Made from beech and taking design cues from the spindle back and generous proportions from the historic Windsor Chair.
This example from the 80’s has been restored, hand-finished with a light shellac and wax and has been fitted with new Pirelli webbing.
The new seat cushion is one of our 'Allsorts' designs, taking inspiration from the classic British confectionary, Liquorice Allsorts. We have used a selection of fine tweeds from Bute’s contemporary cocktail collection resulting in a smart reversible seat.
We also have a range of square and rectangular 'Allsorts' scatter cushions available to match.
Custom seat covers available on request, get in touch if you have any questions.
